Could this help address the Las Vegas water problem? | LETTER | Letters

I watched a documentary on HBO Max about cloud seeding to produce rain water. I found this to be interesting given our water situation.

I’ve seen the pros and cons of desalination discussed here and realize that building a pipeline from the Pacific Ocean or the Gulf of California would be expensive and time consuming. We are entering the monsoon season. Why can’t we seed those clouds to produce maximum rainfall while we discuss other methods to relieve the water shortage? I would think that this method would be much less expensive and faster to execute than any other method mentioned so far.
