Community group gathers weekly in St. Albans for Hands Off protests

ST. ALBANS, Vt. (WCAX) – Community groups gathered in St. Albans for another Hands Off protest.

A new group called Rail City Indivisible, along with the Franklin County Women of Democracy have been meeting every Saturday on the corner of Main and Fairfield St. in St. Albans.

About 30 individuals brought signs, voicing opposition to the Trump Administration.

Organizers say this is the fourth time they have rallied, and they will keep protesting until June 14, the Day of Action to say ‘No Kings’.

“Division, there was a time in this country where you could be on one side, and on another side, still get along, that is not happening anymore. I would be really thrilled, if we attracted somebody who was from the Republican party to join us with this. They have to see what is happening as well. It’s quite sad,” Cindy Livingston of St. Albans said.

Protesters will be there next Saturday from 11 to noon.
