Festivities, celebrations and commencements for three Pulaski County public school districts will begin Thursday and continue through next week, honoring thousands of seniors moving on to their post-secondary pursuits.
Thursday, May 22: Little Rock School District
Approximately 1,500 seniors from Little Rock School District’s four high schools will walk across the stage at the Arkansas State Fairgrounds’ Barton Coliseum on Thursday, starting at 9 a.m. with Little Rock Southwest High students.
Parkview Arts and Sciences Magnet High will hold their commencement ceremony at noon, followed by Hall-West High School of Innovation at 2:30 p.m.
Little Rock Central High School will round off the day with a 6 p.m. ceremony.
Saturday, May 24: Pulaski County Special School District
Pulaski County Special School District’s roughly 940 seniors will turn their tassels during four separate ceremonies held in the University of Arkansas at Little Rock’s Jack Stephens Center on Saturday.
Sylvan Hills High School’s commencement will begin at 8 a.m., followed by an 11 a.m. ceremony for Mills University Studies High School seniors.
Students at Maumelle High School will walk across the stage at 1:30 p.m., and Joe T. Robinson High School seniors will graduate at 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
Tuesday, May 27: North Little Rock School District
On Tuesday, North Little Rock High School and Center of Excellence seniors will throw their caps up at the Jack Stephens Center as well.
The ceremony, which begins at 6 p.m., combines the students enrolled in the district’s high school with those enrolled in the Center of Excellence — a charter school located within the high school building, offering specialized pathways for students.
The number of North Little Rock School District graduating seniors was not made available at this time.
Jacksonville North Pulaski School District
Commencement celebrations began for the county’s four public school districts on May 15 with the Jacksonville North Pulaski School District seniors.
Approximately 257 students graduated at the Jacksonville High School Titan Stadium at 7 p.m. last Thursday.
