Cold & Windy Wednesday

A cold and windy Wednesday across the state. Temperatures will struggle to reach the 50s as strong NW winds and light snow accumulations keep conditions feeling chilly. But of course, we warm right back into the 60s and 70s by Thursday! Winds will be even stronger, shifting out of the SW.

Strong NW winds will gust to near 35-45 mph all day Wednesday. This will make temperatures feel like the 30s through the afternoon.

Thursday will have even stronger winds! Thursday morning & afternoon, expect warm SW winds gusting up to 45-55+ mph. This will surge our temperatures back into the 60s & 70s.

A FIRE WEATHER WATCH, soon to be Red Flag Warning is in effect through Thursday night. This is due to the very dry conditions, strong winds and warm temperatures Thursday afternoon.

A chilly and windy Wednesday in store! Thursday turns warmer, thanks to strong southwest winds gusting up to 50+ mph. Saturday night into Sunday, a potent cold front moves through bringing increased chances for rain/snow across eastern Nebraska. Late next week, temperatures could reach the low to mid 80s!
