CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WOWK) — Slack Plaza was packed Saturday night for one of Charleston’s favorite performances.
FestiFall and Arts Amplified partnered up to host “City Center Dead,” a concert by Grateful Dead tribute band “Dead Center,” led by Charleston favorite John Inghram.
Vendors opened up around 6 p.m. to sell merchandise and snacks before the band took the stage at 7 p.m.
“You would think Jerry and the boys are playing here for real,” said the executive director of FestiFall, Zack Harold. “We’ve got tie-dyed t-shirts. People coming from all around who are here to enjoy the music.”
Those that may have missed City Center Dead haven’t missed all of FestiFall yet. The festival’s grand finale is Sunday, with people still able to catch some sunset yoga to wrap up the festival and the weekend.
