Chickasha Municipal Court announces 'Food for Fines' Nov 3 – 26

CHICKSHA, Okla. (KFOR) – Residents of Chickasha and visitors who have outstanding fines for traffic violations or municipal offenses can now give back and find relief!

According to the Chickasha Police Department, interested participants should follow these instructions:

• Donate non-perishable food items at the Chickasha Municipal Court from November 3 to 26

• Each item donated removes $10 from your fine, up to a maximum of $100

LIST: Food banks, churches, and others providing help to Oklahomans during government shutdown

Suggested items include:

  • Canned goods
  • Boxed foods
  • Rice
  • Cereal
  • Crackers
  • Toilet paper

*No dented, rusted, glass, or expired items will be accepted

Donations will be given to the Chickasha Emergency Food Pantry, says police officials.
