The owners of Central Pizza are moving forward on its new location in Broussard.

The eatery will open soon at the former second location of Market Eatz, 1581 S. Bernard Road, after getting a building permit for the space last month. 

Central Pizza, which opened just over seven years ago in downtown Lafayette, is known for its wood-fired pizzas, appetizers and cocktails.

The new location will have the same menu and offer a covered patio for outdoor dining as some green space.

“It was important for us to capture everything we know is special about Central,” co-owner John Petersen said. “Because this new location is not in a downtown area, it gives us the chance to offer a different spin on the Central experience, with outdoor dining, a great private event room and dedicated parking.”
