Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Carter Hart left morning skate with an apparent lower-body injury, putting his status for Tuesday’s game against the Ottawa Senators in doubt.
Adin Hill will start, coach Ryan Craig said. He had no further update on Hart.
The injury appeared to occur while Hart was making a save. He skated toward the bench, stayed there for a few minutes before limping to the locker room.
Emergency backup goalie Daren Millard filled in for Hart at the end of skate.
“He’s being evaluated,” Craig said. “He’s in good hands here. We have a plan here, and we’re moving forward either way.”
It was not specified if Hart was expected to start. He made 26 saves in the 2-1 overtime loss against Columbus on Saturday.
The Knights will need to make a recall from Henderson if Hart isn’t available. No. 3 goaltender Carl Lindbom is out with an injury, so Cameron Whitehead would be the call-up option.
Hart is 4-3-1 this season with a 2.76 goals-against average and .889 save percentage. He has lost three of his last four starts.
Hill will look to rebound after allowing six goals in his last start Thursday in St. Louis.
