LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Around 11 a.m. today, Lincoln Police Department (LPD) and Lincoln Fire and Rescue (LFR) were dispatched to South 8th Street in regards to a camper fire.
LFR reported a bystander went inside the camper to rescue a woman.
Both the bystander and woman were taken to the hospital for treatment. According to LPD, the woman’s injuries are considered life-threatening.
LFR Information Officer MJ Lierman reported an e-bike being inside of the camper at the time of the fire and asked people to stay away due to the e-bike and smoke.
The investigation is ongoing.
