Brown holds moment of silence in memory of shooting victims

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Brown University held a moment of silence at 4:03 p.m. Saturday in memory of the victims of the shooting the occurred on Dec. 13.

The memorial for Ella Cook and MukhammadAziz Umurzokov and for the nine others who were injured was held a week after the shooting took place.

“We hold those still recovering in our thoughts, and we are deeply grateful to those who have shown care and compassion to the Brown community,” the university said.

The shooter was identified as Claudio Manuel Neves Valente, who was found dead in a New Hampshire storage facility on Dec. 18.
