UPDATE, 5:34 p.m.: The Casper Police Department offered additional details regarding the active investigation it is conducting in the area of Coffman Avenue and Aryn Lane.
The CPD said the investigation began after reports of two vehicles exchanging gunfire in the area. A social media post from the CPD says that officers have made contact with some involved individuals.
No injuries have been reported at the time of this writing and officers believe the incident is isolated. The post notes that the area is currently clearing but that officers will remain on scene as they continue the investigation.

CASPER, Wyo. — The Casper Police Department announced on Saturday that it is currently conducting an active investigation in the area of South Coffman Avenue and Aryn Lane in Casper.
A social media post from the CPD states that officers are on scene and the area will have an increased police presence while the investigation is underway.
“Members of the public are asked to avoid the immediate area to allow officers to safely conduct their work,” the post states.
