BAY VILLAGE, Oh. – The Bay Village community is gearing up for the annual SnoBall Run, a winter tradition that brings together hundreds of runners, walkers, and families for a spirited 3K race through the city.
Organized by the Bay Rockets Association, since 2013, the run saw approximately 400 participants last year. What makes this race special isn’t just the competition but the sense of community that comes with it.
“It’s a fun community event,” says Emily Kreuger, who has been helping with the SnoBall Run for three or four years. Kreuger is part of the Bay Rockets team that ensures everything runs smoothly.

One of the most anticipated aspects of the SnoBall Run is the custom knit hat that changes design every year. These specially crafted hats are made by Madison Graphics in Lakewood.
The event is professionally managed by Hermes Sports Events, which provides chip timing to track runners’ performances.
After crossing the finish line, participants will gather for a post-race celebration, creating opportunities for neighbors to connect and students to socialize.
All proceeds from the SnoBall Run benefit the Bay Rockets Association.
Whether you’re a serious runner looking to test your speed or a family wanting to enjoy a winter morning together, the SnoBall Run is loads of fun.

Last year’s event featured a festive backdrop in the gym where participants could capture memories of their snowy accomplishment, and similar touches are expected to make this year’s race just as memorable.
