Attorneys for Faith Shields withdraw from case, trial pushed back to April

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Attorneys Dane DeKrey and Bruce Ringstrom have withdrawn from representing Faith Shields in her felony theft of property case due to a conflict.

The local activist was supposed to go on trial today but that trial has now been pushed back to April.

The attorney’s also represented Faith’s now ex husband, Charles Dixon.

The couple got divorced in September and Faith Dixon-Shields changed her last name to Shields.

Charles Dixon is also now listed as a witness for the prosecution.

Shields is accused of moving thousands of dollars of state COVID-19 grant money from her charity, Faith4Hope, to personal and family accounts.

Charles Dixon has already pleaded guilty to one count of theft of property while another count was dropped in early November.

The judge sentenced him to probation and $35,000 in restitution.
