A new film project is casting in central Arkansas, and producers are looking for locals with real-world emergency response and media experience to appear on screen.
According to a Facebook post from The Agency, Inc., casting is now underway for a “tense, darkly comedic crime thriller” described as blending “the frantic desperation of Bonnie and Clyde with the unsettling social satire of Parasite and Funny Games.”
The film follows two small-time criminals, Darlene and James, after a robbery goes wrong. While hiding out in the countryside and tending to a gunshot wound, the pair take shelter at an isolated estate, only to discover their seemingly charming hosts may be hiding disturbing secrets of their own.
Casting directors are specifically seeking adults with real-world experience as EMTs, first responders, law enforcement officers or news reporters. Roles listed include paramedics, police officers, security guards, investigators, reporters, victims and local residents.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, local to central Arkansas and available to work between now and June 15. All ethnicities and genders are encouraged to apply.
Online submissions are due by noon on Thursday, May 28. Interested applicants can apply through the Arkansas casting page on The Agency, Inc., Arkansas Casting Page.
