AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Police Department said it was responding to a shooting at the Austin Public Library downtown.

APD said the call came in shortly after noon, and one person was injured in the shooting and taken to the hospital. KXAN was able to confirm the injuries were non-life-threatening.

At the time of the incident, APD said no suspects were in custody at this time. Police described the suspect as a thin Black man who was last seen wearing a gray hoodie, green shorts, black pants, black shoes, and two black bags.

“If you see this person, call 911 immediately. DO NOT approach,” APD said.
