Another hot day headed our way

The very warm spring will continue on Wednesday with another chance to see some 90s across the state.

The average high for late March is in the upper 50s, but we’re going to be WAY above that on Wednesday.

Because of the heat, the wind, and the very dry conditions, a Red Flag Warning is in place for the western half of the state. This means that any fire that gets started can get out of control quickly.

Along with the heat and fire potential on Wednesday, smoke from prescribed burns in Kansas will drift over eastern Nebraska during the day.

It will cool off eventually but it will still be mild with a rain chance on Friday, then almost chilly on Friday. That doesn’t last long, though. Back into the 60s and 70s for the weekend and more 80s next week.
