UPDATE 9:07 p.m.: We are doing pretty good here in Michigan at avoiding severe thunderstorms. As of this moment there are no severe thunderstorms in Michigan. The storm in the far southeast corner, near Monroe, is robust but not severe. It looks like that storm should shift east out of Michigan. One thing to watch is a line of severe thunderstorms in southern Wisconsin, racing toward west Michigan. This line of storms has prompted a few tornado warnings for rotation showing up on radar. With the strength of the upper-air wind, we can’t count out those thunderstorms could still be severe when they move into west Michigan between 11 p.m. and 1 a.m. Chances are slim at that point that the thunderstorms will produce widespread severe weather.
Here’s the always updated radar, to follow the storms into Michigan.
