An Ankeny man is in custody after police say he broke into his ex’s home in Des Moines while they were out of town. 27-year-old Joel Kuehn broke into the house back in May, according to court documents. The documents go on to say he texted the victim that he was inside the home, sent partial photos of his car in their driveway and left explicit items on the victim’s bed. Kuehn also violated a no-contact order by using the app “Text-Now” to generate different phone numbers, according to court documents.He is charged with third-degree burglary, stalking, and harassment. Kuehn is due in court July 31.
