PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (WCAX) – Alstom is hosting a hiring fair at its plant in Plattsburgh on Thursday for manufacturing workers.
The company hopes to hire dozens of new workers to meet increased demand for rail cars.
They’re looking for people with experience in assembly, crane operations, welding and industrial painting.
The rail system manufacturer employs 86,000 people around the world, 350 of whom are in Plattsburgh.
Company officials say they hope to hire 120 more people in Plattsburgh.
People must register to attend the job fair, but they will get an interview on the spot and the company expects to make job offers at the fair.
The fair runs from 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Alstom’s Plattsburgh plant.
