AFR responded to the home on the 8400 block of Hager Avenue SE around 8:40 a.m. and found the dogs inside while conducting a primary search. The dogs are doing well and are expected to survive.

An individual who was inside the home managed to get out before AFR arrived, officials said. The fire was contained to an addition that was built at the entrance of the home, and the cause was determined to be accidental.
