CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI – There are hundreds of Powerhouse Gyms around the world and none are bigger than the brand new one in Metro Detroit.

What used to be 120,000 sq. ft. of empty space of the old Carson’s is now a state of the art, two-story gym with weights and machines abound and amenities galore.

Powerhouse Gym will help breathe new life into the Mall at Partridge Creek in Clinton Township, and that’s music to Carmen Spinoso’s ears.

His company manages this property and dozens of others cross the country.

“We have been working on Partridge Creek for a few years now and have had awesome success bringing in many new tenants,” Spinoso, founder and CEO of Spinoso Real Estate Group told MLive. “And different types, like retails stores, fast-casual restaurants and entertainment uses.”

Spinoso says he travels both the U.S. and internationally to many different properties and is always researching new and different ways to breathe new life into them, like at Partridge Creek.

“Our leasing teams are constantly looking at new properties and new ideas. We look to the communities and the individual properties as well as study the demographics and talk to people that live and visit these properties to help determine which of our many ideas would best fit those people and those communities.”

Memberships at the new Powerhouse Gym run around $50 a month and include most amenities like fitness classes, cycling, swimming, dry sauna and hot tub, and basketball.

There is also a recovery area featuring cold plunges with infrared saunas, contrast therapy, massages, salt treatments and more.

In addition, there is a kid’s zone, women’s only area and a pro shop. Detroit Medical Center will also soon be opening up on the first floor.

The Powerhouse Gym at the Mall at Partridge Creek is open 24 hours a day.
