BENNINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Travelers from three different states journeyed to Southern Vermont for one of the regions most popular craft fairs.
The 38th Annual Mayfest took over Downtown Bennington Saturday.
Organizers said its their largest one ever, with different trucks and tables to check out, ranging from free live music and food, to crafts and activities for families.
Even with a few sprinkles throughout the day, it didn’t deter anyone from stopping by the tents and food trucks.
“I was really worried with the rain and because this was the largest Mayfest we’ve ever had with 140 vendors, so I was really certain we we’re going to lose a percentage to the rain but we did not and the people the attendees came a little slower until the weather had passed,” Jeanne Mintrone, Better Bennington Corporation Executive Director said.
Bennington organizers say they hope to have a similar turnout for their Harvest-Fest in the fall.
