23-year-old arrested for allegedly threatening violence at Traverse City hospital

TRAVERSE CITY, MI – A 23-year-old Thompsonville male was arrested after allegedly making threats of violence towards Munson Medical Center employees on Jan. 5.

The suspect, who fled the scene before police arrived, was taken into custody by the Traverse City Police Department shortly after officers responded to a complaint.

The suspect was located near the 1100 block of Sixth Street. He was taken into custody around 7:50 a.m.

He was lodged at the Grand Traverse County Jail on charges of false report of terroristic threats, according to a news release from the department.
