2026 World’s Strongest Man set to return to Myrtle Beach | News

Very strong men will again be pulling trucks, lifting boulders and showing off their muscle on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk.

The 2026 World’s Strongest Man competition is returning this weekend, April 23-26, for the third year in Myrtle Beach. The contest will take place at Burroughs & Chapin Pavilion Place, a four-day event to determine who will win the title of 2026 World’s Strongest Man.

Qualifying rounds are set to take place on Thursday and Friday, with championship competition scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.

Event organizers say while tickets are sold out for competition days, fans who do not have tickets may still head down to the fan fest area, where food and merchandise vendors will be aplenty and sponsors will likely have some athlete meet-and-greet sessions throughout the weekend.

Rebecca Levin, vice president of sports management at IMG — the organization that runs the event — says the fan fest will offer fans an opportunity to get a close-up feel of the event and its uniqueness.

“If you want to come out and experience the energy and fun, you can see some of these awesome giants in real life, definitely come down and check it out,” Levin said. “There will be a lot of local food trucks and food stands… It’s a great thing to come out, see, walk around and have a little bit of fun.”

Levin says Myrtle Beach has become the ideal destination for the World’s Strongest Man competition.

The competition was held in Myrtle Beach in 2023 and 2024. It was in Sacramento, California last year, but returns to the Grand Strand for this event.

“We love being in Myrtle Beach. We love bringing the event here because the energy is so wonderful. The people are so welcoming and so great to work with. We love being right on the beach and experiencing the boardwalk,” Levin said.

“It’s such a great place for fans to hang out. There’s always something to see and do, and it’s fun for our athletes to come here and have a little sun and fun and compete in front of the greatest crowds and fans.”
