INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Championship bouts are set for the 2026 Indiana Golden Gloves Boxing Tournament.
The best amateur boxers in the Hoosier State will be crowned in Tyndall Armory on Thursday at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6 p.m.
17 bouts are scheduled to cap off the seven-week gauntlet that started on March 12.

The Indiana Golden Gloves, which encompasses parts of Kentucky, is made up of 50 competitive boxing clubs. Founded in 1933, it’s one of 30 franchises making up the Golden Gloves of America.
Winners from the Open Elite division matches will go on to compete in the 2026 National Golden Gloves: Tournament of Champions in Tulsa, Oklahoma, May 11-16. A who’s who of boxing greats make up the ranks of past Golden Gloves champions, including Joe Louis, Muhammed Ali, and Floyd Mayweather, Jr.
Indiana’s last national champion was Kiael Waldon in 2023, a 156lb boxer out of Jeffersonville.
The Indiana Golden Gloves is operated by a group of unpaid volunteers serving as judges, referees, timekeepers and other officials. Along with organizing the state’s largest annual tournament, the non-profit awards scholarships to athletes.
