COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — An unsolved homicide of a 15-year-old boy in northeast Columbus has reached five years, leaving authorities at a standstill.
But Central Ohio Crime Stoppers and Columbus police are still seeking assistance in new information related to the death of Dawaun Lewis-Taylor, who was shot and killed on Sept. 29, 2020, in the Forest Park East neighborhood.

Columbus police arrived at the 4800 block of Heatherton Drive, near Northtowne Park, where Lewis-Taylor was found suffering from a gunshot wound. He was hospitalized but later pronounced dead at 4 p.m. that afternoon.
The only lead reported over the years is that a silver Chrysler 300 was seen fleeing the area shortly after the shooting. The vehicle was heading east on Trent Road toward Northtowne Boulevard.
