2 suffer critical injuries in ATV rollover in Pole Canyon

SANTAQUIN — One adult and a teenager were critically injured in a rollover Sunday night in Pole Canyon.

A 19-year-old and 14-year-old were in an all-terrain vehicle when it rolled off the trail and down the side of a hill just after 6 p.m., according to the Utah County Sheriff’s Office.

The 19-year-old was taken by medical helicopter to Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, and the 14-year-old was taken by helicopter to Primary Children’s Hospital in Lehi.

The rollover victims suffered severe bleeding and critical injuries, according to the sheriff’s office.

Rescue crews used ATVs to go down the mountain to reach the two. No other details were released.
