JAMESTOWN – With two quick goals, Jamestown Jimmies Men’s Soccer earned their second draw in as many matches.

Jamestown scored twice in just under 90 seconds in the first Monday to earn a 2-2 draw with South Dakota Mines at Rollie Greeno Field at Charlotte and Gordon Hansen Stadium.

Defender Sohiab Bouika el Haddad Kaddour brought the Jimmies (0-0-2) within 2-1 by scoring in the 11th minute.

Justin Junaid, set up by Nuutti Norhomaa, tied the game late in the 12th minute.

SD Mines (1-0-1) had built a 2-0 lead within the first eight and a half minutes on goals by Nickolas North and Lucas Miranda.

Goalkeeper Valon Ismaili was busy, but effective, making 10 saves.  Two of them came in the last 10 minutes on shots by the Hardrockers’ Miranda and Xavier Gibson.

Freddie Tomlinson had a chance for a winner for the Jimmies with 48 seconds to go, but his shot at the bottom center was saved by Mines goalkeeper Abdo Salem Abdullah.

SD Mines had a shot advantage of 18-7 and 12-3 on net.

Jamestown will meet Colorado Mesa on Thursday in Grand Junction, Colorado.
