We emphasise that the Armed Forces of Ukraine conduct strikes against military infrastructure and facilities used for military purposes, strictly adhering to international humanitarian law, as well as the laws and customs of war.”

Details: The General Staff added that on the night of 21-22 May, Ukrainian forces struck a number of Russian facilities, particularly an oil refinery, ammunition depots, air-defence assets, command posts and Russian personnel. Among the targets hit was one of the headquarters of the Rubicon unit near the town of Starobilsk.

The General Staff noted that Rubicon is a Russian military special unit formally known as the Centre for Advanced Unmanned Technologies, whose personnel regularly carry out attacks against civilians and civilian infrastructure in Ukraine.
