Russia attacks energy infrastructure in Sumy Oblast, power outages reported

Power supply disruptions have been recorded in certain settlements since the evening of 5 June as a result of Russian strikes on energy infrastructure in Sumy Oblast.

Details: Energy workers are working to restore the electricity supply.

After midnight, a Russian UAV struck a petrol station in the Trostianets hromada, injuring an employee of the station. She has been hospitalised. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]

Later, another Russian drone attacked a postal vehicle on a road in the Sumy district near the Sad hromada, injuring the driver. He was taken to hospital.

On 5 June, five more people were injured as a result of Russian attacks on border hromadas of Sumy Oblast.

Background: In Donetsk and Kherson oblasts, 49 people were injured and 12 killed in Russian attacks on 5 June.
