MTN Uganda has unveiled its headline sponsorship of Ugandan singer Karole Kasita’s upcoming concert, The Power Within, slated for May 29, 2026, at Kampala Serena Hotel.
The telecom company said the partnership forms part of its ongoing #FreeYourFire campaign, an initiative aimed at encouraging young Ugandans to pursue personal and professional ambitions through digital connectivity, innovation and community engagement.
Speaking about the partnership, Mavis Musungu, MTN Uganda’s GTM Digital Specialist, said music remains one of the most effective avenues for engaging young audiences across the country.
“Music continues to be one of the strongest ways we connect with young people and communities across Uganda,” Musungu said. “Through the #FreeYourFire campaign, MTN is creating platforms that inspire young Ugandans to express themselves, pursue their passions and confidently embrace their potential.”
She added that Kasita’s brand and public image resonate strongly with the youthful demographic the campaign seeks to engage.
As part of the partnership, MTN Uganda will roll out a series of digital and experiential activations leading up to the concert. These will include exclusive content on MTN TV, featuring a documentary-style series chronicling Kasita’s musical journey and preparations for the performance.
The campaign will also feature appearances on the MTN Fire Bus, a mobile youth activation platform that combines entertainment, celebrity engagement and customer interaction.
In addition, MTN MoMo has been named the exclusive ticketing platform for the concert. Fans will be able to purchase tickets through the MTN MoMo App and via the USSD code 16520#.
Ticket prices have been set at Shs 150,000 for ordinary access, while standard and premium tables will go for Shs 3 million and Shs 5 million respectively.
