Uzbekistan, South Africa consider cooperation in fuel production
AKIPRESS.COM – Chairman of the Board of JSC Uzbekneftegaz Bahodirjon Siddiqov met with members of a delegation from the South African company Sasol led by Executive Vice President Sarushen Pillay, UzA reported.
The parties addressed issues of bilateral cooperation.
It was noted that Sasol is one of the main licensors of the Uzbekistan GTL project. Within the framework of this cooperation, the synthetic fuel plant has reached its full design capacity.
The Sasol delegation, having become closely acquainted with the operations of the Uzbekistan GTL plant, emphasized that it is currently operating at full capacity and achieving high efficiency. The guests noted that JSC Uzbekneftegaz has mastered the production of synthetic liquid fuel.
Sasol expressed its readiness to provide comprehensive technical support and ensure long-term supplies of catalysts necessary for production.
According to JSC Uzbekneftegaz, the parties discussed prospects for further cooperation, particularly addressing issues related to the development and coordination of new investment projects.
Following the meeting, it was noted that both sides intend to continue strengthening cooperation in the field of sustainable aviation fuel production.
