Theft becomes most frequently committed crime in Kyrgyzstan in 2024

AKIPRESS.COM – The most frequently committed crime in Kyrgyzstan in 2024 was theft, accounting for 38.8% of all registered crimes, according to the National Statistics Committee.

A total of 36,352 crimes were registered in the country in 2024. 

These included 14,127 cases of theft (38.8%), 1,352 facts of hooliganism (3.7%), 1,230 cases of drug trafficking (3.3%), 826 facts of robbery, 441 traffic violations (1.2%), 261 cases of causing serious bodily harm (0.7%), 160 facts of rape and attempted rape (0.44%), 159 cases of murder and attempted murder (0.43%), and 98 facts of robbery (0.26%).

Since 2020, the largest number of crimes (45,096) were committed in 2022.
