Police launch manhunt for suspect in rape of minor in Sokuluk district

AKIPRESS.COM – The Ministry of Internal Affairs announced on March 2 that a search is underway for a suspect involved in a grave crime.

The investigation began after a social worker in Sokuluk district reported the rape of a minor that allegedly occurred in early 2026. The case has been officially registered under Article 154 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Investigators have identified a suspect who introduces himself as Turat and reportedly uses the alias Turat Kasymovich Zhumaev, born in 1979. A warrant has been issued for his arrest, and law enforcement officials are urging anyone with information regarding his whereabouts or any relevant details to contact the police immediately.
