Official visit of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Kyrgyzstan has ended
AKIPRESS.COM – The official visit of President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the Kyrgyz Republic, which took place on August 21-22, has ended.
On the second day of the visit, after the official meeting ceremony, negotiations were held in narrow and expanded formats. The heads of state discussed a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, as well as prospects for developing cooperation.
Following the negotiations, a number of bilateral documents were signed aimed at increasing Kyrgyz-Kazakh joint cooperation.
A ceremony was held to award President Sadyr Japarov with the Order of the Golden Eagle.
President Sadyr Japarov was awarded the highest state award of Kazakhstan for his contribution to strengthening friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
In addition, a number of state and public figures of Kyrgyzstan were awarded the Order of Friendship.
The heads of state also opened the monument “Golden Bridge of Friendship” in Bishkek.
The composition is dedicated to the people’s writer of Kyrgyzstan Chyngyz Aitmatov and the people’s writer of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Auezov.
At the end of the visit, the Presidents of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan visited the school-gymnasium named after Kemel Tokayev.
