Mufti of Kyrgyzstan attends Congress of World Leaders and Traditional Religions in Astana
AKIPRESS.COM – The 8th Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions began its work in Astana on September 17.
The event is being attended by Mufti of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan Abdulaziz Zakirov.
According to the Spiritual Directorate of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan, the congress involves more than 100 delegations from 60 countries, including representatives of Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, Judaism, Hinduism, Taoism, Zoroastrianism, and Shintoism, as well as international organizations, experts, and public figures.
The 8th Congress focuses on tthe role of religions in consolidating humanity in the 21st century, religions as a factor in the sustainable development of the world, spiritual values in the era of digital reality and artificial intelligence, and faith against extremism: the peacemaking potential of religions.
A declaration will be adopted at the conclusion of the congress. The event is aimed at strengthening global peace, unity, and interreligious understanding.
