Man wanted for fraud in Kazakhstan extradited from Kyrgyzstan
AKIPRESS.COM – Upon the request of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Kazakhstan, a man suspected of a series of fraudulent activities has been extradited from Kyrgyzstan.
Between 2019 and 2022, the suspect, acting in collusion with others, defrauded 11 entrepreneurs. He allegedly pretended to sell commercial stalls at one of the largest food markets in Almaty region, stealing a total of 126 million tenge. After committing the crimes, the suspect fled and was placed on an international wanted list.
“In August 2025, he was detained in Bishkek. In accordance with a formal request from the Kazakh General Prosecutor’s Office, the suspect was extradited to his home country to face criminal charges. He has now been placed in a pre-trial detention facility,” the statement said.
