Embezzlement of budget funds of over 1 million soms uncovered in Kochkor district
AKIPRESS.COM – The Kochkor District Prosecutor’s Office uncovered the illegal embezzlement of budget funds in the Ormon Khan rural municipality, the General Prosecutor’s Office announced on September 15.
According to the investigation, officials from the rural municipality signed a contract with a company L.G. LLC for the supply of goods that were not included in the public procurement plan in 2024.
Even though the services were never actually provided, the company’s account received a payment of 50% of the contract amount as an advance.
As a result, the local budget suffered a loss of over 1 million soms.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 337 (Abuse of Official Position) and Article 209 (Fraud) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, and an investigation is underway.
