Cooperation in disaster risk reduction with UN discussed at Emergency Ministry
AKIPRESS.COM – First Deputy Minister Azamat Mambetov met with UN Resident Coordinator in Kyrgyzstan Antje Grawe at the Ministry of Emergency Situations on September 26.
The parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in reducing disaster risks, improving aid delivery and assistance following emergencies, and enhancing the country’s readiness for potential disasters.
They also focused on strengthening collaboration between government agencies and international organizations, specifically through the work of the Disaster Response Coordination Group (DRCG).
Both sides expressed readiness to continue developing cooperation, underscoring the importance of joint efforts to ensure the country’s sustainable development and the safety of its population.
