Ambassador of Qatar finishes his diplomatic mission in Turkmenistan
AKIPRESS.COM – On October 8, Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with Ambassador of Qatar Hamad bin Rashid Al Athba, who is finishing his diplomatic mission in the country, the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan reported.
The Ambassador of Qatar expressed gratitude for the comprehensive support during his diplomatic tenure.
During the talks, the parties reaffirmed the two countries’ commitment to further developing bilateral relations in the political, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.
The importance of organizing visits at high and the highest levels, as well as the need to further improve the legal framework for cooperation, were noted.
The sides expressed support for continuing positive interaction and mutual support within international organizations, primarily the UN.
During the conversation, they expressed interest in expanding trade and economic ties. The role of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Qatari Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation was noted, with preparations for its next meeting underway at the interagency level.
The diplomats also reaffirmed their mutual commitment to further strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties.
At the end of the meeting, the Turkmen side expressed gratitude to the Ambassador for his personal contribution to the development of Turkmen-Qatari relations and wished him success in his future endeavors.
