Aiperi Medet kyzy wins silver medal of Worlld Wrestling Championships
AKIPRESS.COM – Aiperi Medet kyzy took second place at the World Wrestling Championships in Croatia.
She competed in the 76 kg weight category, where she started in the 1/16 finals.
First, she defeated the 19-year-old European U-23 champion from Turkey ahead of schedule.
In the quarterfinals, she faced the reigning Pan-American champion from the United States, snatching victory with 10 seconds remaining.
In the semifinals, Medet kyzy faced the reigning European champion from Ukraine and defeated her with a score of 10:5.
In the final, the Kyrgyzstani wrestled Genesis Rosangela Reasco Valdez from Ecuador and lost 2:4.
Aiperi Medet kyzy finished second in the final standings and won silver.
