AKIPRESS.COM – At the instruction of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Chairman of the State National Security Committee (GKNB) Kamchybek Tashiyev, another search and rescue operation using modern technologies was conducted on August 27, the press service of the GKNB said.
Russian citizen Natalya Nagovitsyna born in 1977 arrived in Kyrgyzstan on July 13 by Moscow – Bishkek flight.
On August 12, during the ascent of Pobeda Peak (7,439 m), Nagovitsyna, reportedly sustained a leg fracture. After this, several attempts were made to evacuate the woman by rescue services. “However, they were unsuccessful due to the extremely difficult mountainous terrain and adverse weather conditions,” the press service said.
GKNB noted that the aerial video filming of the place of location of the climber was made using drones equipped with high-precision equipment.
“Despite the extreme weather conditions, including strong gusts of wind, it was possible to obtain aerial monitoring footage using a thermal imager.
As a result of the analyses taking into account the extreme weather conditions and peculiarities of the area, no signs of life were detected at the location of the climber Nagovitsyna,” GKNB reported.
