TTMA Mobilises Over TT$5 Million In Hurricane Relief For Jamaica

President of the Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers’ Association (TTMA), Dale Parson, has confirmed that the TTMA mobilised over TT$5 million in goods and cash donations to support relief efforts in Jamaica, following the passage of Hurricane Melissa last week.

He said the initiative, executed in partnership with the Office of the Prime Minister, was launched within 24 hours of the hurricane making landfall.

Speaking at the TTMA’s annual President’s Dinner and Awards, Mr. Parson praised the manufacturing sector’s rapid mobilisation.

He said, “The generosity exemplifies the spirit of regional solidarity that defines us as one Caribbean family, standing together strong in the time of need.”

The TTMA President stated that it has also pledged continued support for Haiti, which was similarly impacted by the hurricane.
