National Parent-Teacher Council : Stronger Parenting Support Needed To Address Social Challenges

The National Council of Parent Teacher Associations says stronger parenting support systems are urgently needed to address growing social challenges affecting children and families in Trinidad and Tobago. President Walter Stewart made the statement while speaking at a recent national seminar, where he also extended condolences to a Tobago family grieving the loss of a child.

President of the National Council of Parent Teacher Associations Walter Stewart says the NPTA has been working on a national parenting framework aimed at strengthening family support systems and improving child development outcomes.

He says the initiative was developed through consultations and seminars focused on vulnerability, youth behaviour and social development.
