Gov’t Coordinates Support For TT Students In Jamaica

Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs Sean Sobers says his ministry has been coordinating efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of Trinidad and Tobago students at the UWI Mona campus in Jamaica, as that country braces for the impact of Hurricane Melissa.

He said since learning of the storm’s development, the government has been working through its ministries and the Trinidad and Tobago High Commission in Jamaica to assist students there. He explained that measures were put in place to reach out to all 268 Trinidad and Tobago students currently studying in Jamaica.
