Twenty-seven households in the Princes Town region received TT$338,471.00 in Disaster Relief and Home Repair Grants from the Ministry of the People, Social Development and Family Services on Wednesday.

The distribution, the 38th since the Government assumed office, benefited 103 persons.

Speaking at the distribution, Minister of the People, Social Development and Family Services, Vandana Mohit, said the programme demonstrates the Government’s commitment to ensuring assistance reaches families when they need it most.

She noted that the Government had worked to address delays and backlogs that previously affected the delivery of assistance to vulnerable citizens.

The Ministry said it remains committed to delivering people-centred programmes and services to ensure vulnerable individuals and families receive timely support.
