Uzbekistan, Indonesia consider prospects for cultural cooperation
AKIPRESS.COM – The delegation from Uzbekistan, led by Deputy Minister of Culture Yusufjon Usmonov, participated in the international forum CHANDI 2025, which focused on culture, heritage, art, diplomacy, and innovation. The event, held in Indonesia, brought together representatives from more than 40 countries, UzA reported.
During the visit, a meeting was held with Minister of Culture of Indonesia Fadli Zon. He highly praised Uzbekistan’s contribution to the development of Islamic civilization, particularly noting the role of great scholars and thinkers. The Minister emphasized Indonesia’s interest in intensifying bilateral ties and expressed support for initiatives to organize Culture Days in the capitals of the two countries, as well as to develop a cooperation program.
In addition, the delegation held talks with the leadership of the Indonesian Institute of Arts and Udayana University. The parties discussed prospects for inter-university cooperation and the expansion of academic ties. Rector of the Indonesian Institute of Arts Wayan Adnyana announced his intention to visit Uzbekistan and hold negotiations on strengthening the partnership.
