Tajikistan discusses water resource issues with International Water Management Institute

AKIPRESS.COM – Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin held a meeting with Asia Director for Research Impact of the International Water Management Institute Johan Gely on December 2, the Foreign Ministry of Tajikistan reported.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the enhancement of cooperation with the Institute in the areas of water resource issues and climate, as well as the implementation of regional related projects.

The Minister also provided an update on the preparations for the Fourth High-Level International Conference on the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development, 2018–2028,” which will take place in Dushanbe in May 2026. He invited the International Water Management Institute to collaborate in the preparation and organization of this event.
