Preparations are under way in Tajikistan for the launch of IMKONIYAT, an online educational platform expected to offer more than 40 courses for schoolchildren, university applicants, students and adults.
The project was developed by Sherali Nourulloyev and Abduqadim Hakimzoda, both of whom are under the age of 18. The platform is scheduled to officially launch on September 1, 2026.
IMKONIYAT is intended for schoolchildren, university applicants, students and adults seeking new knowledge and skills, as well as parents who want to monitor their children’s academic progress.
The development team is currently preparing the first educational programs, testing the system and completing the final technical work.
More than 40 courses in seven areas
According to the developers, the project is in its final stage. The platform’s architecture, website, visual identity, user accounts and main system modules have already been created.
Before the official launch, the team plans to conduct large-scale testing involving potential users.
IMKONIYAT is expected to offer more than 40 courses in seven areas: exact sciences and humanities, foreign languages, information technology, vocational training, preparation for National Testing Centre examinations, fine arts and technical drawing.
The first available courses will cover mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology. They are being developed in cooperation with specialist teachers and experts.
The range of courses will later be expanded in response to students’ needs and labor-market demand.
The project’s creators say their goal is not simply to provide access to individual lessons, but to help users develop a structured and comprehensive learning pathway.
How the learning process will work
Each course will consist of several stages. Users will first take an entrance test, followed by theoretical lessons, video lectures, practical exercises and homework. They will then complete a final assessment.
After the course, the system will identify topics that require further review. Users will be able to track their progress, test results and mistakes through their personal accounts.
Parents will have access to separate accounts containing information about their children’s academic performance, attendance, completed assignments and overall learning results.
Teachers and educational partners will also be able to upload and manage their own courses and analyze students’ progress.
The developers say the platform will be optimized for low-speed internet connections. Some materials may also become available offline in the future.
Subscription prices and languages
Most courses on the platform will be paid. Monthly subscription prices will start at 100 somoni, depending on the selected course.
Introductory lessons, some educational materials and certain programs will remain free of charge.
At the initial stage, courses will be available in Tajik and Russian. The team later plans to add English and other languages.
Plans to expand across Central Asia
IMKONIYAT will initially target users in Tajikistan, particularly those living in regions where access to educational programs is limited.
After the launch, the developers plan to expand into other Central Asian markets, primarily Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Course materials would be adapted to national curricula, while local teachers and educational partners would be involved.
The creators say discussions with potential international partners are already under way, although no formal agreements have yet been signed.
Users can submit preliminary applications through the IMKONIYAT chatbot. Full registration and access to courses will open after the official launch on September 1.
