A citizen of Tajikistan was killed in a drone attack on a Wildberries warehouse in Elektrostal, Moscow Region, on the night of July 18, the Fergana news agency reported, citing Novaya Gazeta — Europe.
The victim was identified as a 25-year-old Navrouzjon Sodiqov, a native of Jayhun district in Tajikistan’s Khatlon province. He had recently married and worked at the warehouse alongside his brother, Sadriddin.
Sadriddin confirmed his brother’s death to Novaya Gazeta — Europe. He said Navrouzjon sustained severe injuries during the attack. His colleagues took him to hospital without waiting for an ambulance, but doctors were unable to save him.
Navrouzjon had lived in Russia since autumn 2025 and had spent most of that time working at the Wildberries warehouse in Elektrostal.
His body was repatriated to Tajikistan on July 22.
Family receives 1 million rubles
Sadriddin said Resurs Plus, an outsourcing and staffing company, paid the family 1 million rubles in compensation.
According to him, Wildberries representatives had not yet contacted the family.
Wildberries founder Tatyana Kim previously said that financial assistance of 2 million rubles would be provided to the families of those killed in the attack.
More than 50 people reportedly injured
More than 50 people sustained injuries of varying severity in a fire that broke out at the warehouse following the drone attack. The injured reportedly included two citizens of Kyrgyzstan.
They were taken to a hospital in Elektrostal, where their condition was described as satisfactory.
Several other Kyrgyz citizens told their embassy that they had lost documents and personal belongings in the incident. Two had already been issued certificates allowing them to return to Kyrgyzstan.
Novaya Gazeta — Europe reported that neither the regional authorities nor Wildberries had publicly identified those killed or injured.
Employee group chats reportedly contained a list of 53 workers who had not been in contact since the attack. According to the publication, the list included citizens of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.
